Want to know how to do thing's around Jamaa? This is the place to go to find out how!
Plagues:
Plague's are an item in Jamaa. You cant buy them though! You have to win them! Here is a guide on how to win them in order of least rare to rarest.
1. Online safety plague- Ace the online safety quiz. You can find this in the Conservation Museum in Appondale.
2. Howl Plague- Submit a howl through Jammer Central in Jamaa Township and get it featured. These are not worth much.
3. Artist Plague- Draw something amazing in the Art Studio and submit it to AJHQ, and if it is good enough it will get featured, and you will win the Artist Plague! These are not worth much.
4. AJHQ Plague- To win the AJHQ plague, you have to submit a Snap through Jammer Central for a Jammer Snap's contest, hosted on )The Animal Jam Daily Explorer) and win! The gap between the Artist Plague and AJHQ is huge rarity wise. The AJHQ plague is worth roughly a bad color short spiked collar.
5. Contest Plague- It is unknown how to win this plague. Unless they become easier to obtain, they will stay being worth roughly 2 long black spiked collar's. If it becomes available to the public, please disregard this until it is updated.
6. New's Crew Plague- Enter into the DE's (Daily Explorer) New's Crew contest and win! Not only do you win a feature on the DE and this Plague, you also win an exclusive badge (I want the badge sooo badly) that you see no matter if your the new's crew member's buddy or not! This is one of the rarer plague's and is worth roughly 1-2 tikis (Mask),
7. Video Plague- Submit a question to Brady Bar's or Tinery Tin's and they make a video about it, you will win the Video Plague! This is worth roughly 2-4 tikis (Mask).
8. Reward Plague- The only way to win this plague is through trading. It is a glitched howl plague that looks exactly like one, but when you hover over it, it says Reward Plague. It is considered the 7th rarest item in the came usually. It is worth a combination of extremely rare items.
9. Epic Den's Plague- This plague is one of a kind. It is worth all 3 Pearly Tiara's. It is the rarest item in the game currently. It was believed to be hacked into the game. The current owner is believed to be ToxicNebula. If it becomes available to the public, please disregard this until it is updated.
Trading: (partial credit to The Animal Jam Whip for names of these)
Trading is a huge part of Animal Jam. This is the best place to come to learn about all the different types of trades.
~~~~~~~~~~~Safe Trades~~~~~~~~~~~~
Uptrading: This is when you have a few decent items and trade them all for a pretty good item.
Example: 3 fox hats for a rare headdress.
Downtrading: This is when you have a huge rare, example headdress. You then trade this headdress for two short collars (I dont know if thats fair but its an example) then you trade the short collars for 2 long wrists each. Than trade each long wrist for two short wrists. You now have 8 short wrists. Then you trade each short wrist for 3 den betas. You now have 24 den betas. You then trade each den beta for 2 clothing betas. You now have 48 clothing betas. Get it? You just turned your ONE headdress into 48 betas. That is downtrading.
Overtrading: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This is when you really REALLY want an item, and you trade something thats significantly rarer then it. For example. You need a heart locket for a outfit. The person with a heart locket decides to try to abuse the fact you really need it, and make you trade 3 den betas. SADLY this is the type of trade that gets accepted most often, and all other types usually get declined.
Undertrading: Undertrading is trading an item that isnt very rare for an item that is worth significantly more.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Borderline Trades~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please note the following trades are fairly controversial. Is it A MATTER OF OPINION if these are a scam or not. I will not state my opinion unless asked.
Flash Trading: Flash trading is a "pop" trade in Jamaa. Its when someone trades you a really rare item EXTREMELY fast, and you try to accept. They trade it for a fairly unrare item. And example?
Someone trades a founder for a 45 gem necklace.
However, this can be fun, OR dangerous. People try to get others to be risky and flash it for longer. Example? "Haha, you dont got the guts to flash me for a whole 8 SECONDS LOL"! Need another example? "If you do your founder for 9 seconds I do my spike for 10". This can sometimes be fun if not done for scamming, but it can be dangerous if the Flasher's are scammers. There is also a common hack to make the accept and decline buttons appear faster that causes a lot of scamming. This is also considered a hack.
Gaming: Gaming is the new name for an older type of "trade" called "betting" but its been re-named as it was recognized AJ is game where betting is not a suitable word. Gaming is where two people play a buddy game. Example is Scooped or Pairs. They each put items on there trades that they are willing to play for/with. Each person picks and item off the others trade, and they agree to the rule of whomever wins the Buddy Game, gets the item they agreed upon. However sometimes the looser runs away. This can be a scource of fun if done correctly and with small items.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Scams~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will not list any scams. These are trades that are tricks to take other's items. This is NOT acceptable.
More Guide's coming soon!
I have never heard of the Video Plaque.
